An Unsuspected Theft

On the morning of August 31st, Ms. Yuan planned to meet a prospective buyer, Mr. Li, who had shown a great deal of interest in her 97 Honda Torneo. She had had already shown the car to other buyers, and had no concerns when her boyfriend accompanied the man for a test drive. After driving around Kowloon, the two men stopped to re-fuel at a gas station in the Mongkok area.

When Ms. Yuan'sboyfriend came out of the gas station store, the car was gone, and so was Mr. Li. It seemed that the "buyer" had intended on using illegal means of getting the best deal possible, and with keys in hand, hoped to make a clean getaway. Unfortunately for the thief, Ms. Yuan had installed LoJack (HK)'s CellTrak Ultra, and she didn't like Mr. Li's style of bargaining!

After quickly confirming the theft, LoJack (HK)'s Command and Control Centre stopped the car on Cameron Road, in TST, and the thief hastily fled on foot. Police and LoJack (HK) tracking officers arrived on the scene and found the car undamaged, much to the pleasure of Ms. Yuan. Although she didn't make the sale, she saved thousands of dollars, thanks to her insight and LoJack (HK).
