Only LoJack (HK) operates a dedicated, full-time team of tracking and recovery specialists who's sole job is to protect your vehicle. Many car security companies claim they provide car tracking services. However, these companies do not operate a 24-hr Command and Control or recovery team. Both are necessary to recover stolen vehicles.

A truly covert anti-theft and tracking and recovery system

The small but very powerful Tracker system is hidden deep within the structure of your vehicle. It has none of the giveaway antennas or alarm wires found in old-fashioned systems, which are easily discovered by the thief. The presence of Tracker cannot be determined without dismantling your vehicle, and any tampering with your vehicle triggers an immediate LoJack response.

Multiple tracking technologies designed specifically for stolen vehicle recovery.

Most vehicle tracking companies cut costs by using only one tracking technology: satellite GPS. Some competitors use GPS because it is cheap to adopt, and others simply because they don’t realize that GPS tracking is only suitable for non-hostile applications such as fleet management, but totally inappropriate for stolen vehicle recovery.

GPS antennas must to see the sky to obtain location, and this means that they can only be installed in very few places (such as under the dashboard or parcel shelf). A thief only has to rip out the GPS receiver or cover the dashboard with tinfoil to render it ineffective. This is just one example of why GPS tracking is so unsuitable for stolen vehicle recovery.

Tracker can pinpoint the location of a stolen vehicle to an accuracy of less than 1 metre. In contrast, GPS systems are only accurate to 15 metres at the very best. But for the Police to obtain a search warrant, they must be certain that a stolen vehicle is precisely where we say it is. Only Tracker offers this precision. In a city as dense as Hong Kong, 15 metres may contain five or ten garages, or fifty containers. Your vehicle may even be hidden on a different street!

A thief will always do his very best to hide the stolen vehicle from sight, but GPS tracking systems do not work if a vehicle is hidden. In comparison, Tracker technology will locate a stolen vehicle in an underground car park and or even while being moved inside a container - yet another reason why we refuse to rely on GPS for stolen vehicle recovery.
